eJOY AI Dictionary, used by 700,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. Its permissions mean it can read and change data on all websites and can inject scripts into pages. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in August 2026.

Extension is a comprehensive language learning tool with features like video subtitles, dictionary, AI insights, and translation. Permissions (broad host access, scripting, offscreen, clipboardWrite) are necessary for its functionality (injecting subtitles, reading clipboard for lookup, using offscreen for clipboard access). All network requests target the publisher's own domains (,,) or well-known services (Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Yandex, Google Analytics). The CWS-disclosed data collection 'User activity' covers the analytics. There is no evidence of data exfiltration to untrusted third parties, no remote code execution, and no intentional obfuscation beyond standard bundling.
