Every line of shipped code is a new-tab page: a looped local video (:6 ` `), a clock, sticky notes, todo, calculator, calendar, timer, a Google-apps link grid (, all static [domain withheld] URLs) and a ChatGPT link box — matching the Art & Design listing exactly. The only network activity is two unauthenticated GETs to the declared first-party host [domain withheld] (:52 ` `,:49 ` `); neither sends any request body, query string, identifier or user data, so there is no exfiltration path at all, and search is handled by `chrome.search.query` (:243) against the user's own default engine rather than a hijacked one. The bundled manifest's extra `alarms`+`storage` over the published summary is a superset that is actually used by, so the reviewed ZIP is the more capable build — the delayed-malicious-update concern does not apply. Contradicting the ML score: publisher is flagged with CWS trusted-publisher badges, chrome-stats impact, and our own risk engine rates it Low; the malware label and much of the 58% permhash cluster both trace back to the same malext-feed import whose own basis states it is 'not an independent code review'. Hygiene, not a finding: `createShortcuts()` interpolates server-supplied `link.url`/`link.name` into a jQuery HTML template and renders a server-supplied `buttonUrl`, giving [domain withheld] a remote-content channel into the new tab — MV3's default extension CSP blocks inline script and javascript: URLs, so it cannot execute code, but a compromised backend could serve arbitrary promo links.
