Analyst notes
The extension does exactly what its description says: it injects a content script () into Google search pages to find and hide result entries linking to [domain withheld] by setting their display to 'none'. The background script () only manages the browser action icon and badge count via chrome.runtime.onMessage. There is no network exfiltration, no remote code loading, no obfuscation, no data collection, and no suspicious sinks. The ML score of 0.34 is a false positive driven by the large content_scripts host_permissions list (all Google country TLDs, a common pattern for international search filter extensions) and trivial JS features. The bundled manifest is MV2 while the live CWS listing shows MV3, indicating an in-progress migration; the installed version 3.0.22 is the MV2 build and the 3.0.24 changelog entry confirms MV3 was added in a later release.
