Analyst notes
This is a straightforward Kirby new-tab wallpaper page: renders a looping local video (), a clock, user-editable shortcuts stored in localStorage, and a search box that calls chrome.search.query (:169), which dispatches to the user's own default search provider rather than rewriting it — directly contradicting the 33%-malware permhash cluster, whose typical malicious pattern for a `search`-permission new-tab override is exactly that hijack. There are no outbound writes of any kind: both network calls (:21,:41) are parameterless GETs to [domain withheld], the publisher's own declared host permission, carrying zero user data, so the "none declared" CWS disclosure is consistent; the bundled manifest matches the published manifest exactly. The one residual risk keeping this at likely_benign rather than false_positive is:54, which assigns server-supplied HTML straight into the new-tab DOM — with no `content_security_policy` key the MV3 default `script-src 'self'` applies, so injected <script> and inline on* handlers cannot execute, making this a remote *content* () channel rather than remote code loading, but it is still publisher-controlled surface that bypasses store review.
