What our analysis found
Nissan GT-R R35 Live Wallpaper showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a publisher with 20 extensions and was last updated in June 2026.
Analyst notes
The extension is a straightforward new tab override that displays a GT-R R35 video wallpaper, clock, and user-managed shortcuts. All external network calls go exclusively to the publisher's own domain ([domain withheld]) — for hooks and a promotional extensions catalog — which is consistent with the 'More Extensions' feature advertised in the CWS description. No user data is collected or exfiltrated. The ML score is driven by jQuery's large minified bundle (~90KB of the 104KB JS total), explaining js_exclamation and size features, not malicious code. The permhash cluster's 3% malware rate and third-party impact score of both corroborate a benign verdict.
