What our analysis found
Naruto Generations Live Wallpaper showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a publisher with 20 extensions and was last updated in June 2026.
Analyst notes
All source code is clean and matches the extension's stated purpose as a new-tab wallpaper replacement. The only external network call is to `[domain withheld] (the publisher's own domain) to populate an extension catalog widget — no user data is included in the request. The `search` permission is used exactly as declared via `chrome.search.query` for the search bar, and all shortcuts are stored only in `localStorage`. The ML score (0.13) was driven by generic file-count and HTTPS-link features (Google Fonts CDN links, publisher site links) that carry no malicious signal; the permhash cluster of 7555 extensions has only a 3% malware rate which is consistent with a common benign permission set.

About this extension
Naruto characters across generations with Team Minato and Team 7 side by side against Konoha backdrop.
Read the publisher’s full description
Experience the powerful legacy of the Hidden Leaf Village with this striking dual composition showcasing the parallel journeys of two legendary teams! The masterful artwork divides the screen between past and present—on the left, Team Minato stands beneath a clear blue Konoha sky, featuring the Fourth Hokage with his distinctive spiky blonde hair and white cloak, alongside a young Kakashi with his signature mask, goggles-wearing Obito, and medical-nin Rin. Mirroring them on the right, Team 7 continues their legacy against the backdrop of the Hidden Leaf's iconic red architecture—Naruto with his determined grin and whisker marks, stoic Sasuke with piercing eyes, masked adult Kakashi as their sensei, and pink-haired Sakura completing the formation. The brilliant parallel composition highlights the cyclical nature of the shinobi world, with visual echoes between Minato and his son Naruto, and between the team dynamics that defined two pivotal eras in the village's history. The contrasting backgrounds—natural greenery versus village infrastructure—symbolize the evolution of the ninja world across generations while maintaining the core bonds of teamwork and sacrifice. ⏰ Clock and Date – Track time with ninja precision 🔗 Quick Access Shortcuts – Navigate with shadow clone efficiency 🎮 Play Games – Find entertainment between missions 🔍 Search Bar – Discover secrets across the Five Great Nations 🚀 More Extensions – Enhance your jutsu with additional features
