The extension is published by McAfee, a trusted security vendor, and its codebase is consistent with its described functionality: secure search powered by Yahoo with site safety annotations. All network requests are to McAfee-owned domains (,,) for URL reputation lookups and token management. The webRequest and scripting permissions are used to intercept search queries and inject annotation icons on search results, which is the core purpose.
