Key findings
- High
Other
The bundled declares manifest_version 2, but the published Chrome Web Store listing summary indicates manifest_version 3. This mismatch suggests the extension may have been updated independently of the bundled sources or that the listing information is stale. While not directly malicious, running on an older manifest version can expose users to weaker security controls.
Analyst notes
The extension is a dictionary tool using content scripts and storage permissions appropriate for its described functionality. The only notable finding is a discrepancy between the bundled manifest version (2) and the published version (3), which may indicate version drift rather than malicious intent. Publisher reputation is good, user reviews are positive, and no hidden data collection or suspicious behavior is evident from the provided files. The low ML risk score and benign third-party assessment corroborate this conclusion.
