What our analysis found

Турбо Ютуб – Смотри ютуб без замедления, used by 30,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in December 2024.

Analyst notes

The ML risk score (0.00, low) and the third-party risk score (Impact, Likelihood) are contradictory; the main concern is the proxy permission, which is explicitly required for the extension's advertised functionality (VPN-like YouTube acceleration). No data exfiltration, tracking, or malicious code patterns were found. The extension only routes YouTube-related domains through a hardcoded SOCKS5 proxy, which is disclosed via its description and privacy policy. The erroneous mention of 'clipboard' permission in the third-party score is a false signal, and the publisher has a trusted history.
