The extension silently becomes the browser's default search engine and routes all address-bar input through the publisher's own PHP relay, not through Yahoo as the store listing claims; the empty `name` field leaves the provider unidentifiable in Chrome's settings UI, frustrating the user's ability to see or undo the change. Because `suggest_url` is also overridden, every character typed into the omnibox for a non-URL query is transmitted to [domain withheld], a data flow the publisher declared to Google as 'none declared' under CWS data collection. The combination of a hidden provider identity, a misstated provider in the listing, and undisclosed keystroke-level query collection is monetized search hijacking rather than the navigation utility described.

On install the extension enumerates every browser window and destroys each one of type `popup`, including windows it never created and has no functional relationship to, which can discard unsaved user work in legitimate popup windows. Paired with the forced navigation to the publisher's `extension-success/` page, this is the characteristic cleanup step of an advertising install funnel: it closes the malvertising or interstitial popup that drove the user to the store listing. Nothing in a maps-and-directions utility justifies terminating unrelated browser windows.

The extension is a tiny, unobfuscated search hijacker whose deception is in the manifest rather than the JS::26-35 installs an `is_default: true` search provider with an empty `name` pointing every omnibox query and keystroke at the publisher's own PHP relay ([domain withheld] and /?q=), while the store listing tells users the provider is Yahoo and the CWS data-collection disclosure is 'none declared';:72-82 then force-opens a success page and closes every popup-type window in the browser on install, the standard cleanup step of an ad-funnel installation. The ML evidence contradicts rather than corroborates: its only substantive feature, js_post_requests=1, is the harmless first-party install ping at:25 carrying a random non-persisted id plus user agent, and none of the regex features see the search override at all, so this verdict rests on evidence the model never used.
