This is an ordinary new-tab extension: builds the clock, shortcut tiles and sticky notes in localStorage, and search goes through chrome.search.query with the browser's default engine (:169), so there is no search hijack. Every network call is a GET with no user data attached, to the single declared host_permission [domain withheld], which is the publisher's own domain (author [domain withheld]), and the bundled manifest matches the published CWS manifest exactly (permissions [search], host_permissions [[domain withheld]]). The one capability worth naming is:41-54, which fetches server-authored HTML from [domain withheld] and assigns it to innerHTML on the new tab - the manifest declares no content_security_policy, so the default MV3 extension-page CSP blocks scripts, inline handlers and javascript: hrefs, and the listing explicitly advertises a notification channel ('Notifications - Stay updated on new themes and features'), making this a disclosed first-party feature rather than observed abuse; the same applies to:21-28, where server-supplied overwrites saved shortcuts with unsanitized interpolation (sloppy, CSP-mitigated, first-party). Contradicting signals: the permhash cluster (33% flagged) and the malext feed note, which by its own text is 'not an independent code review'; corroborating benign: the risk-engine 0.10, chrome-stats and the trusted-publisher badge. Confidence is medium, not high, because (~87 KB of the ML's 99,735 JS bytes) is listed in but absent from the extraction bundle, so I could not confirm it is stock jQuery.
