Authenticator - 2FA, used by 20,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in October 2026.
Analyst notes
All source code confirms this is a legitimate local-only 2FA authenticator built with Svelte 5. There are no outbound network calls to external servers: the single `fetch()` hit at:64 is Svelte 5's standard `<link rel="modulepreload">` polyfill, not an exfiltration channel. The `scripting` permission is used only for user-triggered QR scanning (injecting ` `) and OTP auto-paste (injecting ` `) on the active tab. Vault data is stored in `chrome.storage.local` encrypted with and never leaves the browser. Third-party risk and permhash cluster ( malicious) fully corroborate benign classification; publisher VastBlast links to an open-source GitHub repo.
