Analyst notes
The extension is a YouTube live stream lag controller that monitors buffer health (videoElement.buffered) on [domain withheld] and adjusts playback speed to reduce viewer-side lag. All code is straightforward: saves default settings and relays tab navigation events; reads the video element's buffered range and sets videoElement.playbackRate; and read/write settings to chrome.storage.local. There are zero network requests to any external endpoint, no data collection, no remote code loading, and no obfuscation. The ML score of 0.29 was almost certainly driven by the small file size and the tabs+activeTab permission cluster, which is shared by thousands of benign YouTube utilities. The bundled manifest matches the published manifest exactly (same three permissions, same content_script match pattern).
