In code review (v3.57)

Our reviewer read version 3.57 — the most recent version we have reviewed — and found no malicious behaviour. The version shown here has not been individually reviewed yet.

What our analysis found

video downloader - CocoCut, used by 700,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. Its permissions mean it can inject scripts into pages and can observe network requests. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in October 2026.

Analyst notes

The extension is a feature-rich video downloader; its broad permissions are necessary for media interception, downloading, and screen recording. All external communications go to the publisher's own domains ([domain withheld], [domain withheld]) for configuration, geolocation, and pro-user checks. No unauthorized data exfiltration or malicious behavior was found. The ML model's regex pattern hits (e.g., innerHTML, XMLHttpRequest) are typical for such an extension and do not indicate malice.
