Analyst notes
The extension accesses Facebook cookies only to detect login state and user ID for friend-list comparison. It sends the user ID to the publisher's own domain ([domain withheld]) for premium checking, which is a first-party service. All permissions and host accesses are necessary for the advertised unfriend-notification feature. No obfuscation, remote code loading, or data exfiltration to third parties was found. User complaints are about breakage, not privacy. The ML model and risk engine likely overemphasized the 'cookies' permission and Facebook host permissions.
