What our analysis found
Twitch AntiQuality Switcher showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in January 2026.
Analyst notes
The extension contains a single 6-line content script () that calls stopImmediatePropagation() on visibilitychange and webkitvisibilitychange events — exactly what is needed to prevent Twitch from detecting tab switches and downgrading stream quality. The manifest limits execution to *.[domain withheld] only, no permissions are declared beyond this content script injection, and there is zero network activity, data collection, or code execution beyond intercepting the two DOM events. The ML score of 0.47 is almost certainly driven by the low file count and small JS size rather than any actual malicious pattern; our own risk engine scored it 0.00 with zero findings, corroborating the false-positive conclusion.

About this extension
Prevents the Twitch player from switching quality when switching tabs!
Read the publisher’s full description
Prevents the Twitch player from switching quality when switching tabs! The Twitch player switches to 480p after a minute of the tab not being active and it can be disorientating when you're listening to a stream and tab back in to see what is happening, seeing everything blurry then skip back to full quality after the moment is over. This extension prevents that. Source code: https://github.com/HexedHero/TwitchAntiQualitySwitcher
