The extension is a well-known website analytics tool from a trusted publisher. It requests broad permissions necessary for its core functionality (displaying traffic insights on any site). Network request interceptors in appear to be part of an opt-in analytics feature controlled by a user setting, with data sent to Similarweb's own endpoints and disclosed in the privacy policy. No evidence of malicious intent, data exfiltration to third parties, or unauthorized data collection beyond what is disclosed.

This extension collects all your ChatGPT prompts, outputs, attachments, audio and images, and may sell it to third parties.
