Analyst notes
The code is a standard new-tab-override wallpaper extension (Valorant Jett theme) with a video background, clock, shortcuts, and a Google search bar — entirely consistent with its Art & Design listing. The ML score of 0.33 was likely driven by the newtab override and jQuery bundle patterns, not genuine malice; chrome-stats independently rates impact and likelihood, and the publisher holds a Google trusted-publisher badge. Two minor anomalies prevent a clean `false_positive`: (1) the bundled manifest declares no permissions or host_permissions while the live CWS listing shows `search` + `[domain withheld] — the ZIP is actually less capable than declared, but the discrepancy is unexplained; (2) ` ` sets the uninstall URL to `[domain withheld]` (an unrelated third-party domain) rather than the publisher's own `[domain withheld]`, which is unusual though `setUninstallURL` does not transmit user data — it merely opens a page in the browser on uninstall. The IndexedDB deletion in ` ` only operates within the extension's own origin scope and is not cross-browser data destruction.
