The extension declares zero permissions and operates entirely within its own popup, using the Canvas API to convert locally-uploaded images client-side. The is Google Closure Compiler output (recognizable $jscomp polyfill boilerplate) implementing an image format converter: FileReader reads user-selected files into data URLs, canvas.toDataURL converts them to the target format, and JSZip bundles multi-file output for download — no network requests to external servers. The XMLHttpRequest hits flagged by the ML model come from the bundled library's fallback download path for blob: URLs, which is standard in that library. Both third-party risk score ( impact) and our own risk engine (0.00) contradict the ML signal; the 0.57 ML score is driven by features and common web API usage patterns in minified output, not by any malicious behavior.
