Our reviewer read version 36 — the most recent version we have reviewed — and found no malicious behaviour. The version shown here has not been individually reviewed yet.

What our analysis found

I'm a Gentleman, used by 50,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. Its permissions mean it can read and change data on all websites. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in June 2022.

The extension is a straightforward image downloader that uses standard Google Analytics for anonymized usage tracking (UA-40495135-6, loaded from as permitted by CSP). It requires <all_urls> and downloads permissions for core functionality (image extraction and saving). No personal data is collected, no outbound requests are made beyond analytics, and all code is benign. The high permhash cluster malware rate is a false signal common to many image-related extensions that share these permissions.
