The full code surface is six files (manifest, 3 JS, 1 HTML, 1 CSS) and it does exactly one thing: rasterises a bundled.cur into a canvas data: URL (:61-74), stores it in chrome.storage.local, and injects a single <style> element setting `cursor: url(<data:>)` (:20-34). There is no anywhere in the bundle, no cookie, tabs-query, history or host permission, and the only outbound navigations are the onInstalled welcome tab and setUninstallURL to [domain withheld] (:17,24), which matches the publisher's declared website; the Unit42 IoC listing is the flag source and contradicts the code, but any PUP behaviour would have to live on that landing site rather than in this extension, which collects and transmits nothing. Corroborating benign: publisher malicious and chrome-stats impact; uninformative: the permhash cluster is the 194k-member storage-only mega-cluster, so its 10% flag rate is just the corpus base rate. Verdict is likely_benign rather than false_positive only because jquery. was not included in the extraction bundle — the signed _metadata inventory lists exactly the four JS files the ML counter reports, and 103275 − 13330 ≈ 90 KB matches a stock jQuery 3.x build, and it loads only in the popup (no host permissions), so even a tampered copy would have no page or browsing data to reach.
