GoFullScreenshot captures a whole page, the visible browser area, or a region you select. Click the GoFullScreenshot icon and choose Full page, Visible area, or Select area. For a full-page capture, the extension automatically finds the relevant scroll area, captures every section, and stitches everything into a single full-resolution image. Processing happens entirely inside your browser. GoFullScreenshot works with traditional webpages as well as modern apps with independently scrolling content panels, including chat, email, and collaboration tools. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the GoFullScreenshot icon and choose Full page, Visible area, or Select area. Alternatively, use Alt+Shift+S, Alt+Shift+V, or Alt+Shift+R to start the corresponding capture directly. 2. For Full page, GoFullScreenshot automatically detects, scrolls, and captures the page or main content area. 3. If the actual page is embedded from another website, GoFullScreenshot names that exact site and asks for your approval before Chrome requests access. 4. Follow the persistent toolbar-popup progress and use its Stop control if needed. 5. A new tab opens showing your screenshot with quick-edit tools immediately available. 6. Annotate, protect sensitive areas, copy, download, or export your screenshot as a PDF. For Full page, Smart capture works automatically. Settings also lets you select Main content only or Scrollable side panel only for apps with multiple independent scroll areas. Your preferences are stored locally on your device. You can choose a maximum part height of 3000, 4000, or 5000 pixels. Adjacent parts overlap by 160 pixels so text and visual context are not cut exactly at an image boundary. The complete master screenshot remains available for viewing, editing, copying, PDF export, and full-image download. New users are asked whether they want to keep 10 recent captures locally. Choosing Not now keeps history disabled, and existing users are never silently switched on. When enabled, GoFullScreenshot stores a user-selected 1-20 recent screenshots in the browser's local IndexedDB storage. Oldest-first cleanup makes a best effort to remain below approximately 250 MB, although one current capture can temporarily exceed that amount. - Stored only on your device - Source URL, source title, capture details, optional notes, and filenames remain only in local history - Nothing in local history is uploaded or sent to the developer - Oldest captures are removed automatically when a limit is reached - Open recent captures directly from Settings - Open or delete individual captures from the History panel - Clear all saved captures from Settings or the History panel - Turning history off removes older captures and retains only the current capture temporarily EMBEDDED PAGE CAPTURE Some websites place their real full page inside an embedded page. Same-origin embedded pages can be captured directly. If a non-scrolling website shell contains its actual long page inside an iframe from another site, GoFullScreenshot first names that exact site and asks for your approval. Only after you choose Allow & capture does Chrome show its own permission request. Nothing is granted at installation. Access is used locally only to measure, scroll, capture, and restore the embedded page. One-time access is removed after the capture by default, including after cancellation or failure. If you explicitly choose Remember access for this site, only that exact site remains available. You can remove remembered access later from GoFullScreenshot Settings, Chrome's extension controls, or by uninstalling the extension. BUILT FOR PRIVACY GoFullScreenshot never sends your screenshots or captured page content anywhere. The extension has no backend server, analytics, tracking, advertising, or account system. Screenshots are captured, assembled, edited, stored, and exported entirely inside your browser. Local history is optional and begins only after an explicit user choice. See the linked Privacy Policy for complete details. SUPPORT Open the Support page directly from Settings to report a problem, ask a question, or suggest an improvement. After an explicit click, you can copy diagnostic information containing the release and installation profile, browser and platform details, display scale, permission status, relevant local settings, and only the number and combined size of retained captures. Diagnostic information is copied only to your local clipboard and is never uploaded automatically. It never includes a page URL or title, screenshot, captured page content, filename, note, template, project name, or remembered site name. WHEN GOFULLSCREENSHOT CANNOT CAPTURE A PAGE Chrome does not allow extensions to run the page scripts required for capture on protected browser pages. This includes chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, the Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard, Chrome's built-in PDF viewer, file:// pages, and pages belonging to other extensions. When this happens, GoFullScreenshot explains the Chrome security restriction and offers a link to the official website for help. This is expected browser behavior, not a GoFullScreenshot error. GoFullScreenshot never attempts to bypass Chrome's security protections.
