The code is a complete, readable VPN proxy client: it derives all behaviour from chrome.proxy (:491-514 sets fixed_servers HTTPS host:110), supplies RADIUS credentials only to proxy auth challenges (:_getAuthResult returns {} unless details.isProxy), and its only network destinations are [domain withheld], getProxyServersEnc.php and captchaAsync.php (:7-8,:1226) carrying only the the user typed into the login form - matching the CWS-disclosed categories for a 7-day-trial VPN with an advertised mirror domain ([domain withheld]). Tab URLs are read (:321-331) but only flow into extractHostname ->, never into FVApi or the fvFetch relay, and there are no content_scripts and no externally_connectable, so the unauthenticated fvFetch relay (:561) is reachable only from the extension's own pages. The 'malicious' signals are circular rather than corroborating: the publisher has zero other extensions under leave-one-out so its malicious flag can only derive from this extension's own label, the permhash cluster's malware count IS this version, and chrome-stats cites a clipboard permission present in neither manifest plus 'removed-from-store' while status is active. Withholding 'false_positive' only because jquery-3.4.1. is loaded by both credential-handling pages (:7,:8) and is absent from the bundle, so a trojaned library cannot be excluded by reading - though the manifest CSP restricts to [domain withheld] and [domain withheld], leaving such a payload nowhere to egress. Manifest 'mismatch' is a reduction, not an escalation: bundled MV3 drops unlimitedStorage and replaces webRequestBlocking with the narrower webRequestAuthProvider (documented at:637), so the MV2 listing snapshot is simply stale. Hygiene only, not findings: the shared-secret PSK is hardcoded at:6, fvpn() (:939) is a ROT-13-class cipher used to store the RADIUS password at rest, the server returns the plaintext account password into storage (:536), and encrypted credentials are mirrored into chrome.storage.sync.
