Analyst notes
All network communication is confined to two declared host_permissions domains: `[domain withheld]` (the gaming platform being enhanced) and `[domain withheld]` (the publisher's own backend). The `webRequest` permission is used only to detect outgoing FACEIT match-API requests and trigger pre-match lobby fetching — no traffic is intercepted or modified. The MAIN-world `document_start` content script (` `) exists solely to make authenticated FACEIT API calls (using the user's existing browser session) to retrieve demo download URLs for the 2D replay feature, communicating results back to the isolated content script via origin-validated `postMessage`. Analytics sent to the publisher's own API contain only extension version, a static 'chrome' string, browser locale, and feature-usage counts — no PII or browsing history. ML signals (high `js_appendchild`, `js_hex_obfuscation`, large file size) reflect standard bundler output and numerous CSS color hex literals, not intentional obfuscation. Third-party risk score is driven entirely by newness and low user count, not by behavioral signals, which corroborates the false-positive reading.
