What our analysis found

Cookie Remover - Clear & Remove Cookies, used by 100,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. Its permissions mean it can inject scripts into pages. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in September 2026.

Analyst notes

The extension performs exactly as described: removing cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage for the current site upon user click. The ML model flagged Google Analytics, innerHTML, and executeScript usage, but these are harmless in context. The bundled manifest (v2) differs from the published listing (v3) but does not indicate malice. No unauthorized data exfiltration or malicious code was found.
