I am torn between 4 and 5 stars, purely on technicality. But considering the vagueness of the description, I think 4 is warranted. (vvv Explanation for troubleshooting and a major caveat that the extension has vvv) This extension DOES work as advertised perfectly fine. Although for some people, it may be a touch finnicky. 1. Ensure it is enabled (no duh, but doesn't hurt to remind anyone.) 2. Go to your extension settings, and ensure it has access to YouTube, and ensure the "allow access to search page results" or similar is ENABLED. 3. I am not 100% certain if it works based on display name or the @ handle for the channel. But I would suggest using both just to be safe. I similarly can't tell if it's case sensitive. The "Blocked Names" tab has a case insensitive switch, so I think it's reasonable to assume everything is case sensitive by default. Either way, it doesn't hurt to be thorough. 4. It requires a FULL BROWSER RESTART to work. If you use a browser that saves your last opened tabs, just closing it out and reopening it may not work. Depending on your browser it may be a little different, so be sure to double-check. But generally, if you open a new tab and type"[browser-name]://restart" into the address bar and send it, this will trigger a proper restart. (i.e. "opera://restart" or "chrome://restart" without the quotations.) HOWEVER. This extension DOES NOT work for YouTube Shorts. (Took me a while to figure this out, really.) It seems to recognize the channel and block it out once you click on a Short made by them, I am uncertain if it does the same if you use the TikTok-esque scrolling UI. But it does not read the "Shorts carousel shelf" that inserts itself between every few videos on the traditional browsing screens. So unless the channel you don't want to see doesn't make shorts, this may not block everything. In conclusion, I'd say 4/5. It does work as intended, even if the wording is a little unclear at times. But with how aggressively YouTube has been pushing Shorts content, it should really specify that this content cannot be filtered. It may not advertise that it *can* be, but as YouTube content all the same, most users would assume they would be included unless specified.
