Analyst notes
This is a standard new-tab wallpaper extension (BMW M8 Competition theme) built on what appears to be the '[domain withheld]' The manifest declares no permissions (confirmed in bundled), the code only localStorage and IndexedDB for user preferences, and network calls are limited to Google Fonts, Google Favicons API, and fetching video assets from [domain withheld]. The opens [domain withheld] on install and sets an uninstall URL — both are standard publisher retention patterns. The ML score of 0.19 is almost certainly driven by the small JS size and file count typical of these minimal wallpaper extensions; third-party risk score is impact and likelihood with a trusted-publisher badge, directly contradicting the ML signal. The manifest mismatch (bundled has no permissions; published manifest shows 'search') is notable but the bundled manifest is what actually runs, and 'search' is a low-privilege permission that allows using chrome.search — the extension doesn't appear to use it, so its absence in the bundle is benign (the live listing may reflect an older or planned version).
