What our analysis found
Allow CORS: Access-Control-Allow-Origin, used by 800,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. Its permissions mean it can read and change data on all websites and can observe network requests. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in July 2026.
Analyst notes
The extension's permissions (webRequest, declarativeNetRequest, <all_urls>) are directly required to add CORS headers to responses, as stated in its description. The code exclusively uses these APIs to modify response headers based on user configuration; no browsing data is collected or transmitted. The only external network requests are user-initiated page openings () or a one-time welcome page on, which match the publisher's own domain. The explore feature loads a local JSON file to suggest related extensions without any remote data exchange. All settings are stored locally via chrome.storage and session, and no evidence of obfuscation or covert exfiltration exists. The ML model's risk score is low (0.00), and the pre-computed security analysis incorrectly flags required permissions as risks without recognizing the legitimate use case.

About this extension
Easily add (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *) rule to the response header.
Read the publisher’s full description
Allow CORS: Access-Control-Allow-Origin lets you easily perform cross-domain Ajax requests in web applications. Simply activate the add-on and perform the request. CORS or Cross-Origin Resource Sharing is blocked in modern browsers by default (in JavaScript APIs). Installing this add-on will allow you to unblock this feature. Please note that, when the add-on is added to your browser, it is inactive by default (toolbar icon is grey C letter). If you want to activate the add-on, please open the toolbar popup and press the toggle button on the left side. The icon will turn to an orange C letter. If you have a feature request or found a bug to report, please fill out the bug report form on the add-on's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/access-control-allow-origin.html).
