The extension is the official AdGuard AdBlocker (Beta), a well-known open-source ad blocker. Its source code, permissions, and behavior are fully aligned with its intended functionality: blocking ads, trackers, and providing privacy features. All network interactions are internal (browser.runtime.sendMessage) or for filter-list updates, with no evidence of data exfiltration to third parties. The ML model's signals (e.g., high XMLHttpRequest, innerHTML, appendChild counts) result from legitimate ad-blocking logic and bundled libraries, not malicious intent. The publisher is trusted, and the privacy policy declares no data collection.

Surely you're familiar with AdGuard Browser extension, which effectively blocks all kinds of Internet ads. But with the release of Manifest V3, it will no longer work. To keep you from remembering what pop-ups, ad banners and ad videos look like, and to make you feel safe knowing that the extension protects you from trackers, malicious and phishing sites, we created AdGuard Browser extension V3.
