What our analysis found

Youtube TV On PC, used by 100,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in June 2025.

The extension only modifies the User-Agent header on requests to enable the TV interface, as advertised. It uses but only for its intended purpose, with no data exfiltration, tracking, or remote code. The dangerous permissions are not abused; the publisher is trusted with other clean extensions. The ML flags are based solely on permission patterns, which are a false positive.
