What our analysis found
YouTube No Translation, used by 60,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a publisher with 16 extensions and was last updated in September 2026.
The extension only accesses YouTube's own API endpoints ( /) and uses the YouTube player API to prevent translation of titles, audio, descriptions, and subtitles. No data is sent to third parties, no tracking is present, and all permissions are consistent with the disclosed functionality. The ML model likely flagged the early document_start execution and patterns, but these are standard DOM manipulation techniques necessary for the extension's purpose.
