About this extension
Toggle a horizontal squeeze for stretched 4:3 videos on YouTube.
Read the publisher’s full description
Bring back the original 4:3 format for old YouTube videos stretched horizontally into 16:9 — a simple fix for rare but relevant cases. YouTube 4:3 Fix Toggle applies a precise 0.75 width correction that restores the exact 4:3 format whenever needed. - ✅ Works in fullscreen, mini‑player, and internal navigation - ✅ Can be applied to any video when the toggle is on - ✅ Instantly restores the intended 4:3 format ℹ️ Note: After installation, refresh the video page so the extension attaches to it. Then open the extension page and activate the toggle. Off = YouTube normal. On = 4:3 correction. The checkbox does not visually save its state, but the fix stays active — the first click re‑syncs the visual state, the second (if needed) turns the correction off. After a refresh, the extension becomes fully passive until you activate it again. This extension is meant for those rare cases where keeping the original format matters. It is instant, completely free, and ad‑free.
