XPath Capture Edge extension security report

XPath Capture is a developer productivity extension for capturing, editing, and validating XPath selectors on webpages. It is designed for front-end developers, QA engineers, test automation users, crawler debugging, and anyone who needs to locate page elements accurately. After the user manually starts capture mode, the extension displays a visual capture panel on the current page. Users can select elements with the mouse and quickly generate the corresponding XPath selector. The extension supports single element capture, batch capture, and similar element capture. XPath Capture also includes an XPath editor, allowing users to modify captured XPath expressions, preview matching results, highlight matched elements, validate selectors, and copy results for later use. For pages that contain iframes, the extension can help locate and validate elements inside supported frames during the user’s active operation. The extension is intended to help users create more reliable and usable XPath expressions while reducing the time spent manually inspecting DOM structures. It does not automatically collect page content in the background and does not upload captured results to external servers. User preferences and temporary capture results are stored locally in the browser.
