About this extension

Warns you about fake sites and blocks third-party ad and tracker requests as you browse. Works with the Wary Security desktop app.

Wary Security Companion is the browser half of Wary Security. It checks each page you open against the Wary desktop app running on your PC, and warns you the moment a page looks like a fake or phishing site. When a page is dangerous it's blocked with a full screen warning before it can load, so you can't be tricked into typing your login into a copy of Steam, Discord, your bank or anyone else. Pages that look a bit off get a coloured badge on the toolbar instead. You'll need the Wary Security desktop app installed and running with browser protection turned on, which is part of Wary Pro. The extension talks only to the app on your own machine over 127.0.0.1. Nothing about the pages you visit is sent to us or anyone else. No account, no ads, no tracking.
