The extension is a well‑known technology profiler with 3M users, sponsored by a trusted publisher and disclosed as collecting 'Website content'. All broad permissions (cookies, webRequest, host_permissions) are necessary for its stated purpose of detecting technologies on arbitrary sites. The only outbound data is anonymised technology reports sent to the publisher’s own domain (), controlled by a user‑visible 'tracking' option and disclosed in the privacy policy. No unauthorized exfiltration, code injection, or obfuscation was found; the codebase is clean and publicly available. The ML risk score (0.00) and the risk‑engine’s permission‑based alert are overridden by the actual benign behaviour.
