WallHabit: Hide Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts & Block Any Website Chrome extension security report

Take back control of your time on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook — and lock down any website you want to avoid. WallHabit is the ultimate distraction-free Chrome extension and powerful website blocker that lets you remove the parts of social media designed to trap your attention — reels, shorts, infinite feeds, and autoplay traps. Keep only the parts that actually matter to you, like direct messages and your favorite creators, to improve your overall digital wellbeing. Instead of an aggressive on/off block, WallHabit gives you precise, per-feature control on each platform, plus a revolutionary Hold-to-Unlock blocker for any other site you want to limit (Reddit, X/Twitter, TikTok web, news, gambling, NSFW — anything). 📷 Instagram Distraction-Free: Hide, Disable & Block Reels Stop endless scrolling on Instagram. Customize your experience by removing only what distracts you. Hide Instagram Reels: Completely disable Instagram Reels, block Reels, and remove them from your navigation. Customize your feed: Block the Explore page, Stories, Highlights, and the Search bar independently. DMs only mode: Switch on the highly requested "DMs only" feature to redirect every Instagram URL straight to your inbox. Zero scrolling, just messages. Smart URL redirects: Visiting restricted sections automatically sends you back to your safe home page. ▶️ YouTube Without Shorts: The Ultimate Shorts Blocker Turn YouTube back into a focused, educational, and subscription-based platform. Hide YouTube Shorts: One toggle to completely disable YouTube Shorts, block Shorts, and remove Shorts everywhere (the shelf, the sidebar tab, suggestions, and icons). Dedicated YouTube Shorts blocker: Any direct Shorts URL is auto-redirected to your home feed. You will never see a Short again. Clean interface: Block the comments section, video metadata carousel, and search bar for a pure, intentional viewing experience. 👍 Facebook Focus Mode: Hide & Block the Feed Use Facebook for what it was built for — keeping in touch with people — without falling into algorithmic traps. Enable Facebook focus mode: Automatically hide Facebook Reels and disable the FB news feed. Block distractions: Remove the search section and redirect all restricted URLs to your clean home page. ⛔ Hold-to-Unlock Website Blocker: Build Real Self-Control The killer feature for when you need to block social media or limit access to highly addictive domains. Block any website: Add any domain you want to restrict to your blocklist. WallHabit covers it with a full-screen overlay the moment you visit. Intentional friction: To access the site, you must physically hold the unlock button for a duration you choose (10 to 300 seconds). Releasing early resets the timer. Break bad habits: This built-in delay creates intentional friction, breaking the auto-pilot habit of opening sites by reflex and boosting your self-control. Configurable time windows: Once unlocked, the site stays open for 5 minutes up to 8 hours. Afterward, the website blocker overlay returns automatically. 🔒 Lock Your Settings Against Future-You Perfect for Sunday-night setups when you want to remove the temptation to make a "quick edit" during a busy workday. Every focus mode setting card features a Lock button. Once locked, you must hold a button for 60 seconds before making changes. Locked settings persist across browser restarts to guarantee discipline. 🛡 Privacy-First by Design Your privacy is our priority. WallHabit runs entirely locally in your browser. We do not track your activity, read your messages, monitor your searches, or see the websites you visit. No account required. No subscription. No paywall. 100% free. 🌍 Built for Serious Users WallHabit is for people who have tried "just being disciplined" and want a tool that does the heavy lifting. Install WallHabit, set it up in 2 minutes, and reclaim hours of your life every single week!
