Analyst notes
The extension uses 'declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess' to modify headers for [domain withheld] requests originating from [domain withheld] only, which is necessary for fetching lyrics as part of its stated music-download functionality. All outbound network requests (to [domain withheld] for telemetry and to [domain withheld] for lyrics) are to first-party or declared third-party services and carry only non-personal download statistics. No code injection occurs outside the extension's declared VK host permissions. The ML model's elevated risk signals are based on permission combinations that are legitimate in this context and on code patterns typical of benign Webpack builds.

Read the publisher’s full description
VK Music Saver is a free extension that allows you to save any tracks from VKontakte. For each track, not only the file size but also the bitrate (sound quality) is displayed. This allows you to opt out of downloading low quality music before you even start downloading. Tracks are downloaded along with metadata including artist name, title, release date and cover art. If lyrics are available on the Genius site, the extension will also add them to the metadata. VK Music Saver is not affiliated with this site and is not responsible for the accuracy of the lyrics. How the extension works: - Go to the VK social network (vk.com or vk.ru) - A download button and bitrate information will be displayed next to each track. - Click on the button to download the track. How to download an entire playlist of music at once: - Open the playlist. - Hover your cursor over the “More” button. - Click the “download” button. GitHub: https://github.com/vknext/vk-music-saver If you find an error, please let us know in private messages: vk.com/vknext If the problem is related to downloading a playlist or an individual track, please attach it to the message.
