The extension is a legitimate companion for the VidAngel streaming filtering service. It uses cookies, declarativeNetRequest, and host_permissions to enable authenticated content modification on streaming sites, which is consistent with its stated purpose. All network communication is directed to the publisher's own domain () via externally_connectable, and no data is exfiltrated to unrelated third parties. The ML model's signals (permission cluster, minified code, base64 strings) are typical of a WebSocket-based proxy extension and do not indicate malicious behavior.
