What our analysis found
Unfollowers Pro, used by 90,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in October 2026.
Extension performs exactly its stated function of automating unfollows on Instagram. All network requests go to Instagram (for the tool's purpose) or to the publisher's own domain (for license checks). No data exfiltration, tracking, or unauthorized collection. The permissions (scripting, storage, unlimitedStorage, and host access to Instagram and the publisher's site) are necessary for the described functionality. The risk engine's high severity stems from the scripting permission and sensitive domain, which are inherent to a social media automation tool.

About this extension
Mass unfollow users who don't follow you back on Instagram.
Read the publisher’s full description
Automate the process of unfollowing those who don't follow you back on Instagram, but in a way that mimics the behavior of a real user to reduce the risk of being detected as a bot. Ideal for those who need to unfollow multiple profiles. With this tool, it is possible to unfollow between 100 and 200 profiles per day. Unfortunately, Instagram has limits, and these limits vary from account to account. For this reason, we limit the processing time and the number of unfollows. We recommend using the extension sparingly to ensure its continuous functionality. COMMON QUESTIONS The tool has stopped working - it might be a sign that the Instagram limit has been reached. Please wait a few days before trying again. The number of people I follow is not decreasing. - there is a bug on Instagram that causes this count not to be updated promptly for some users. So, if you want to know if you are indeed unfollowing, go to the removed profile to check. I made the payment but did not receive the license. - The license is your email address used in the purchase. Just provide it in the 'purchase license' option of the extension to unlock the tool.
