The extension is a legitimate download manager built with Vue 3 + Vite. The background service worker () exclusively chrome.storage.local and calls chrome.downloads.search() — no data is sent to any external server. The only external URL in the entire codebase is a static attribution link to the publisher's own domain ([domain withheld]) in the Settings About panel. The ML model's high score is entirely explained by the large bundle (866 KB), 3857 `js_exclamation` hits from minified framework code, and 11 `js_innerhtml` hits from Vue template rendering in the extension's own UI pages. The permhash cluster is clean ( flagged), the bundled manifest matches the published manifest exactly, and the third-party risk score's only signal is 'new extension with low user count', which is a base-rate flag, not evidence of malice.
