Why Install The Extension? If your employer uses the Tribes.AI platform, we analyze the digital events you and your teammates produce every day (i.e., emails sent and received, meetings attended, files edited, comments posted, etc.) to estimate how much time you spend on individual activities and clients. This fully automated time tracking can help you and your employer understand how you spend your time, simplify reporting processes and help find unbilled time to make the business more profitable. We collect most of the digital events through API integrations but unfortunately that is not possible for all the various platforms out there - which is where the browser extension comes in, it helps us capture activity that we otherwise cannot measure. By installing the browser extension you can help us close these gaps and make sure we are accurately reflecting all the hours you put in! What About Data Privacy? We protect the privacy of you and your teammates in the following key ways: - We only track domains you want us to: Once installed, you have to tell us in the browser extension what domains we should be tracking otherwise no data is captured at all - so simply make sure no domains are enabled for tracking that you only use for private purposes. - You have the final say on what is captured: Your admin can enable a set of domains for tracking for all users that install the browser extension but you have the final say - if you don't want your company to track your activity on a certain domain simply disable the tracking and we won't capture it. - We strictly limit access to sensitive data: Only employees can see their own data as well as their immediate managers, but employees cannot see each other's data, nor can the CEO or the HR department automatically see everyone's data. - We only store event metadata: We know a web page was viewed, but we never store the actual text or content of that web page - hence it cannot possibly be compromised.
