The Identicon Extension

Generate a unique identicon for any text

The identicon extension allows you to easily visualize any text. The main use case for the extension is to allow for an easy verification when sending to a Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency address. There is an inherit security risk with these addresses as they are hashes which mean they are long words composed of pseudo-random characters. If there is a change in a character, the human eye can't easily catch that and that may result in sending money to a different address, which means that the user will lose his funds. By utilizing the identicon extension, this security risk no longer exist. All you need to do is highlight the address that you want to send funds to and click on the extension's icon. a popup window will open and display a visual representation of this text. Now when you copy the address and paste it in the sending screen of the wallet/exchange you want to send to, the last thing you do before sending is verify if the address was entered correctly, this is now easy as you only need to highlight it again and check the identicon that is being created using the highlighted text
