I am dyslexic and often struggle with the sounds of new words, especially if I've never read the word before, it can be hard knowing how to properly pronounce it. Coming across this handy extension is going to be a godsend for me! I've recently started a new role in Clinical Research, where a lot of medical terms look they were named by dropping a scrabble bag! So I tested 'Syllable Reader' on pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. It broke it down syllable by syllable, highlighting each syllable as it read. I really liked that you could speed it up or slow it down, as Googles speech reader only has one speed. This definitely does what it says on the tin! I'll be installing this onto my work computers for future aid.

Excellent extension! So many features to choose from to aid reading and study. I found the options to change the guide and highlight colours really useful, as some colours are a bit harsh on my eyes and make it hard for me to concentrate. There are features to aid dyslexic readers and some things that are useful for ADD readers also like the auto scroll and sentence highlight. But my favourite is the tutoring mode, what a fab feature! This has been super helpful for new readers and people whose first language isn't English. Super extension can't praise it enough!
