Smart Site Alarms Smart Site Alarms is a website scheduler and alarm clock. Use it to open important sites, reload pages, close distracting tabs, or show pop-up reminders at the time you choose. You can also log alarm actions or recorded task time to Google Sheets through an Apps Script web app. Key Features _____________________ Alarm & Site Actions - Open Sites: Open a URL in a normal browser tab, or bring its matching tab forward if it is already open. - Reload Sites: Reload a matching open tab and bring it forward, or open the URL if no matching tab is found. - Close Sites: Close tabs that match a saved site, path, or exact URL, depending on your URL match setting. - Pop-Up Reminders: Show a clean reminder window with an alarm sound. - Timers: Create duration-based timers that start when saved, with either time-left or elapsed-time display. - Multiple URLs: In URL mode, add one URL per line to open, reload, focus, or close several sites. - Alarm Grouping: Alarms due at the same time are grouped together where possible. Close actions may be shown separately from open, reload, and notify actions. - Alarm Sounds: Choose from multiple alarm sounds, preview the selected sound, and set how long the sound plays. Search & Organization - Live Search: Find alarms by name, URL, or tag. - Tagging: Add tags such as “work” or “social” to organize URL alarms. - Quick Filters: View alarms by All, On, Off, Open, Close, or Notify. - Extra Sort Filters: Filter by upcoming or past time, one-time alarms, monthly alarms, weekday-only alarms, or weekend-only alarms. - Activity Log: View recent extension activity, alarm triggers, Google Sheets results, errors, and troubleshooting messages. Flexible Recurrence - Set alarms to run once, daily, monthly, on weekdays, on weekends, or on selected days of the week. - Missed Recovery: Choose to re-trigger missed Once or Monthly alarms if the scheduled time passed while the browser was closed. - Once Alarm Behavior: Choose whether Once alarms are disabled or deleted after they trigger. - Monthly History: Monthly alarms keep run history so the extension can avoid duplicate monthly runs. Logging & Recording - Log Button: When Google Sheets is configured, log an alarm action to your sheet from the alarm notification window. - Record Button: Start a task record from an alarm notification, then log the elapsed duration when the task is complete. - Active Records: View, complete, or cancel ongoing task records directly from the extension menu. - 10-Minute Check-Ins: Active records can show follow-up task check windows until you complete or cancel the record. - Google Sheets Mapping: Map custom values, date/time, duration, and optional location data to specific sheet ranges. - Custom Values: Use one global custom value or a per-alarm custom value for Google Sheets logging. Customization & Sync - Browser Sync: Store alarms and settings with browser sync. Choose Always Sync to keep reading and writing synced data, or Install Only to restore once on first install and then write backups without reading changes. - Sync Usage Indicator: View sync storage usage from the extension menu. - Time Format: Choose 12-hour or 24-hour display. - Sound Duration: Set the alarm sound duration in seconds, or use 0 to let it play indefinitely. - URL Match Mode: Choose Domain mode for domain/path matching, or Exact mode to include query strings and hash fragments. - Light & Dark Themes: Switch themes for easier viewing. - Backup & Restore: Export alarms to a JSON file and import them later.
