Thanks for filling this gap while we waited for #slack to stop being slack and implement it natively. Now we can got to: Preferences --> Advanced --> Input options, and then tick "Show send button" after doing this, and without a restart, ctrl+enter sends your message.

Did not work for me. Slack now has a preference in the advanced setting which duplicates this ... and adds a send button.

So simple, and yet Slack refuses to implement this feature. THANK YOU, Satoru Takanami! Now, if only Slack would put this in their desktop app, I wouldn't be forced to use the web-based Slack.
