The Site Monitor is a browser extension developed specifically for the Rohde & Schwarz SmartBenchmarker web interface. Its purpose is to provide real-time, visual feedback on critical network and device status information, thereby increasing monitoring efficiency and reducing the time spent on manual searches. Key Features: Real-time eNB Monitoring: Searches for one or more user-specified eNB IDs among active measuring devices (probes). Instant Visual Feedback: If a device is connected to a monitored eNB, its name appears in a prominent green bubble in the corner of the screen, allowing for an at-a-glance overview of which devices are in the target area. Proactive Scanner Health Check: The extension periodically checks the health status of all scanners in the system (based on the healthIndex value) in the background. Automatic Alerting: In case of a critical scanner error (healthIndex > 3), the extension displays an informative red bubble indicating the problematic device and technology. It also triggers a short, flashing alert in the center of the screen to immediately draw attention to potential measurement issues. Easy-to-Use Settings: A simple popup window allows users to specify the eNB IDs to monitor, as well as to enable, disable, and fine-tune the scanner monitoring interval. Predefined Lists: Frequently used groups of eNBs (e.g., cells in a specific area) can be loaded from an external JSON file into a dropdown list, speeding up the configuration process. How It Works The user clicks the extension icon to open the settings panel. Here, they can either manually enter comma-separated eNB IDs or select a predefined list. After saving, the extension automatically starts monitoring on the SmartBenchmarker page, displaying all relevant information in the top-right corner of the screen as clearly visible bubbles.
