Save Image As

Download a right-clicked image as PNG, JPG, or WebP.

Save Image As adds a focused context menu item for images. Right-click an image, choose `Save image as`, then select PNG, JPG, WebP, or Original. When the selected image is on an origin the extension has not accessed before, the extension opens a local permission page. The page shows the exact origin and provides a `Allow access and download` button. The browser then shows its native permission prompt for that origin. The extension downloads the selected image in the extension context, decodes it locally in the browser, draws it to canvas at the original pixel size, exports it to the selected format, and saves it through the browser downloads API. Settings include JPG quality, WEBP quality, JPG background color for transparent pixels, filename strategy, whether to show an error page after failed conversions, an optional convenience button to allow or revoke access to all sites, and an optional CSS background-image download feature. If the CSS background-image feature is enabled, clicking the extension toolbar icon scans the current tab for CSS `background-image` URLs and shows them in a popup. Preview is loaded only when the user clicks the preview button for a specific result. The extension preserves the original image bytes unchanged when using the "Original" action. Animated WebP files remain animated when saved as WebP or Original. GIF files can be converted to animated WebP through the local bundled WASM encoder. Other canvas conversions may save a static decoded frame. SVG is rasterized locally if the browser can decode it as an image. No analytics. No telemetry. No remote code. No external API. No browsing history collection.
