YouTube ranks your feed by what keeps you watching. That's not the same thing as what you actually want more of. Sattva adds the question YouTube never asks: what are you actually trying to move toward right now? You pick one goal, and every recommendation and search result gets re-ranked toward it — no quiz, no personality diagnosis, just a direction you choose. Seven goals, not a ladder • Grounded - money, home, nature, daily routines • Creative - art, music, cooking, making things • Driven - business, fitness, skills, discipline • Connected - relationships, mental health, community • Expressive - writing, speaking, storytelling, podcasts • Clear-minded - science, philosophy, history, deep dives • Still - meditation, mindfulness, calm, sleep These map to the seven chakras, but none of them outranks another. Someone who's burnt out needs Grounded or Connected, not "upgraded" toward something more abstract because it sits higher on a traditional chart. Whichever one you pick is the only one that matters while it's picked — and it stays picked until you change it yourself. How alignment actually gets measured? Every video card already on your screen gets scored two separate ways: - Alignment — how well this specific video actually match your chosen goal, judged by an AI model against the real content, not just whether a keyword happens to appear. - Depletion — whether the title reads as outrage-bait or engagement-farming ("SHOCKING", "the truth about", "you won't believe"), independent of your goal. That kind of content drains you no matter what you're working toward, so it gets pushed down regardless of which goal is active. A video that scores well on both counts as depleting, a strong topical match doesn't buy its way past a manipulative title. Override strength - how far it goes? Three settings decide how strongly your goal reshapes the feed. No override leaves everything exactly as YouTube ranked it. Halfway nudges each card proportionally to its own score. Full override, the default, sorts everything toward your goal, cleanly. None of them touch anything except the videos themselves - sponsored cards, Shorts shelves, and everything else YouTube places in the feed stay exactly where they were. What it doesn't do Sattva moves cards. It never hides them, never blocks a channel, and never clicks anything on your behalf. Pause it, or just refresh the page, and your feed goes back to exactly what YouTube would have shown you anyway. Privacy No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Your goal and strength setting stay on your device. To score a video, its title and channel name (already public, already visible on the page) are sent to Sattva's backend and an AI provider — nothing that identifies you as a person is ever collected or stored alongside that data.
