RepIndex - Community-Driven Reputation System for X.com (Twitter) Stay safe on X.com (Twitter) with RepIndex, the community-powered reputation tracker that helps you identify trusted accounts and avoid scams, spam, and suspicious profiles. Here's the section to add about combating regime misinformation: 🎯 OUR MISSION: FIGHTING COORDINATED DISINFORMATION IN IRAN RepIndex was created to combat organized disinformation campaigns, particularly from authoritarian regimes. In countries like Iran, where Twitter/X.com is blocked for ordinary citizens, government officials and regime-affiliated accounts use special unrestricted SIM cards (سیمکارت سفید) to bypass these blocks. These accounts flood the platform with propaganda, spread misinformation, and manipulate public opinion—while the people they govern cannot even access the platform to respond. Thousands of these coordinated accounts have been identified, operating with impunity to: Spread regime propaganda and talking points Harass dissidents and activists Spread disinformation about protests and human rights issues Impersonate independent voices while pushing government narratives Manipulate trending topics and discussions RepIndex empowers the global community to identify and flag these coordinated propaganda networks, giving users the tools to recognize state-sponsored misinformation and make informed decisions about which accounts to trust. This is bigger than just spam prevention—it's about preserving truth and protecting democratic discourse in the digital age. 🛡️ PROTECT YOURSELF FROM SCAMS X.com has become a hub for valuable connections, but it's also filled with scammers, impersonators, and fake accounts.
