QuietTab — Auto-Mute New & Background Tabs Chrome extension security report

QuietTab automatically mutes new and background tabs the moment they open, so the only tab that can make sound is the one you are actually looking at. End the autoplay ambush — middle-click all the links you want, and silence holds until you invite sound in. • Auto-mute new background tabs before a single frame of audio plays • One-click allowlist for the sites that deserve sound (your meeting tab, music, video) • Per-site rules: always allow, always mute, or automatic — you decide per site How it works: QuietTab mutes new and background tabs the instant they open. When you switch to a tab, it unmutes. Switch away, and it mutes again. Add any site to your allowlist and it plays freely, foreground or background. A popup toggle pauses everything for when you want every tab to play. Pro ($99 lifetime, one payment) adds unlimited allowlist rules, focus profiles (work, focus, evening — each with its own sound rules), and every future Pro update this extension ships. The free core stays free forever. Your settings stay on your device. No account, no tracking, no ads. Permissions: "tabs" reads tab URLs to match your per-site rules and mute or unmute tabs. "storage" saves your settings and allowlist locally on your device. "alarms" schedules periodic cleanup of stale tab state. Privacy policy: https://zovo.one/privacy-policy
